Michael Crawford is an African-American activist and blogger based in Washington, D.C. He has more than fifteen years of experience working on HIV/AIDS, choice and LGBT civil rights issues. He is a former Associate Field Director for the Human Rights Campaign and was an organizer for the Millennium March on Washington.

He was a founding member of ACT UP and Queer Nation chapters in Texas and co-organized three large rallies to protest anti-LGBT violence.

He was a founding member of the Queer Artists Collective, a multi-media performance group and has had video work screened at several LGBT film festivals.
