Impeach Bush - Then try him for war crimes!

One of my favorite non-GLBT issues is the effort to expose the lies and crimes of ShrubCo. If you haven't already heard of it, the Downing Street Memo is a bombshell document that exposes the lies of the US and British governments in the run-up to the Iraq war.

If Bill Clinton can get impeached for lying about a blow-job, surely lying about a war that has cost:

...is good reason to be impeached AND REMOVED FROM OFFICE!

It's time to band together and send this rotten, corporate-owned, theocratic, criminal regime back to the bowels of Texas and then on to The Hague for trial.

Here are some links so you can get involved:

Throw the bastard out on his ass. The only scary thing is that then Cheney becomes president. *yikes!*

The trouble is that it would require the House of Representatives to start an impeachment proceeding, and that won't happen because they support him. Unfortunately, impeachment is a political rather than criminal process.

Ahh, but the nice thing about it being a political process is this: ShrubCo can't get re-elected. If these pathetic excuses for Representatives feel that the tide is against them and that the only way to win re-election is to boot the bastard, they'll do it. With enough constituents pressuring them, they'll at least have to think twice. The other way to think of this too...This is a good issue to get on board with to get the Republicans out of power. If everyone sees that Bush lied and that the Republicans in congress are protecting him, the fuckers will have a much tougher time getting re-elected.It may not get him impeached and thrown out of office, but these lying, manipulating, corporate thieves should not get a pass on their transgressions.

I hadn't thought of that. Since they're already gearing up their smear machine to take out potential Democratic candidates (see Ed Klein's book) going on the offensive now is a good idea.
