Exodus Intl welcomes Paulk back to the flock
welcomed back into the fold by Exodus International. You might remember Paulk as the guy who claimed he'd gone straight and married an ex-lesbian (who never slept with a woman). He wrote a book, appeared on the cover of Newsweek, and chaired the board of Exodus, the umbrella organization for the various ex-gay groups. Trouble soon followed though as Paulk thought that since he'd "changed" once, he'd just keep twirling in a circle and he ended up going around 360. He was spotted (and photographed) at a Washington DC gay bar by a gay lobbyist and quickly found himself bounced by the board of Exodus. Well, you can't keep a good man down (on his back with his legs in the air!) forever apparently. After a "probation" period, Paulk has wormed his way back into the flock and now sits on the board of directors again. It all seems so reminiscent of the women who go back to husbands who have beat them. Paulk's self-esteem must be measured in nano-increments.
