I found this interesting article today. It's about the underground railroad that has sprung up via the internet to transport stray and unwanted dogs to new owners across the country. It's a long article, but definitely worth the time spent reading. Before you assume that everything about this phenomenon is positive, be sure to finish the article. You're left wondering about the fate of Paddy, the dog profiled in the piece. It almost makes you want to contact the LA Humane Society to check in on the poor old guy... The woman who adopted him seems like an animal collector if you ask me - 26 animals in a 900 square foot house is too many.
