Cousin Al writes:

"Jill just told me that a Republican politician was overheard saying that God 'finally cleaned up public housing in New Orleans'. So there you go, more evidence of class warfare in the non-response to Katrina in New Orleans."

Inextricably linked to race as well. Time to recalibrate the ol' Outrage Meter to accept even higher levels without having me go postal -- again.

UPDATE (from DailyKos):

"Rep. Baker of Baton Rouge is overheard telling lobbyists: 'We finally cleaned up public housing in New Orleans. We couldn't do it, but God did.' "
