This story came out on Monday, but it's still interesting... A gay Christian dating web site has opened online - and it's based in Richmond, Indiana.

"There are people suffering, people going through such extreme measures as even taking their lives because they can't figure out how things fit together," Cannon said. "I've arrived at a place where I really believe that this is what the Bible says."

Cannon said he created gayharmony.net because he was having trouble locating others who shared his same views.

"Gayharmony.net is the Internet's first devoted gay Christian matchmaking and personals Web site," Cannon said.

The Web site was created partially because some matchmaking sites, such as the popular eHarmony, don't welcome homosexuals.

Okay so a little investigation later it seems like the college student who started the site is also planning a conference of some sort around the same theme for the Spring. I for one am okay with any conference that brings more queers to Indiana.

I live in Richmond and met Justin Cannon several times. He is a really nice guy doing good things for our community. His article in our newspaper was a big deal because we are not very visible here in Richmond. By the way, I'm the IE regional coordinator for the Richmond area (that's how I learned about your website).

Welcome to the site, Kristina. We're happy to have you. Maybe you can talk Justin into hosting a house party for IE? He seems like a good contact for the area. :)

Ok but I do not understand what Christian has to do with that staff?
