Now that I have the new category "Wal-Mart Sucks," what do I spy on the Indy Star website? And article entitled, "Wal-Mart plans are roiling Zionsville." Seems the dislike for the retail behemoth is in full-throated roar when even sleepy little Zionsville doesn't want the retailer to set up shop...

Diners at the Cobblestone Grill, one of the popular eateries on Zionsville's quaint Main Street, often order the quiche of the day. Nowadays, many are also getting an anti-Wal-Mart petition as a side order.

The petitions have been circulating in the Boone County town for months, opposing Wal-Mart's plans to build a Supercenter on the edge of Zionsville.

So far, about 3,000 names have been collected.

"I think that shows that if the people of Zionsville were asked to vote, they'd vote against a Wal-Mart here," said Cobblestone Grill owner Kent Esra.

Zionsville has always been known to rebuff any kind of commercialized enterprize. That's what makes Zionsville a nice place to visit and live in.
