Taking Down Words has an interesting post about a recent Indianapolis Star story on scholarships for LGBT students. While the Star story itself is quite lengthy and very interesting, it's TDW's commentary that made me smile and nod my head.

Naturally, we think this is great, but we were particularly struck by the number and range of companies that are anteing up to help out gay scholarship funds across the country. Hopefully, such corporate support means we've at least started to turn a social corner toward acceptance.

But given the knee-jerk reaction the far-right has to anything that even remotely goes against their antiquated worldview, we're left to wonder which corporate sponsor the whackjobs will boycott first: CitiGroup, TimeWarner, Abercrombie & Fitch or the Indy Star for printing the story in the first place.
