Never in the history of bilerico has a category gotten as much fan mail as the Wal-Mart Sucks category. Today, alert reader Mike sent in this Avery Ant rant about Wal-Mart. You've never seen an ant do stand-up comedy? Yeah, well, you've never seen a Wal-Mart employee in a union either, but it doesn't stop us from dreaming, does it?
QUICK POLL: Where do you do the majority of your household shopping? Leave a comment and let us know.

Trader Joe's, almost exclusively. I prefer foods without chemicals and preservatives (but I also think Wild Oats is completely over-rated). Sunflower Market is good but doesn't offer a complete experience.

I do most of my shopping at Nordstrom. Oh - wait - you mean food? Uh, well, I buy organic meat, chicken and fish at Wild Oats. We really like their buffalo burgers! I buy other sundries, like canned tuna, salmon, nuts and raisins, and of course supplements, at Nature's Market Health Food Store (my son works there part-time). We go to Trader Joe's - they have wonderful natural salmon patties. Anything canned I buy at Marsh. I also like to browse their kosher section - which is now the biggest in the city! Tabachnik frozen soups are natural and yummy!!!! Of course, I still prefer Nordstrom........

I'm suprised to see so many "health food" stores - like Trader Joes and Wild Oats. I would have thought I'd get more Marsh, Kroger or Super Targets...

I guess a lot of us "enlightened" souls are enlightened in more ways than one! I can't eat foods with chemicals and preservatives in them anymore. However, I do shop in Marsh and Costco for things like paper goods, some boxed items, milk, and cheese. But meat, chicken and fish is strictly organic!
