I shamelessly stole this from Steph's earlier post. :) Thanks Steph! You can take the quiz too - and find out which literary classic you are! If you follow my reading lists, you can see that a fantasy novel is apropos for me - especially being surrounded by all those men for so long! *evil grin*

Lord of the rings
J.R.R. Tolkien: Lord of the Rings. You are entertaining and imaginative, creating whole new worlds around yourself. Well loved, you have a whole league of imitators, none of which is quite as profound as you are. Stories and songs give a spark of joy in the middle of your eternal battle with the forces of evil.

George Orwell: Nineteen Eighty-Four. You are the

Lord of the Rings - when I first read the books, back in high school (1967) all of my friends and I immersed ourselves in Tolkien's world. It was fabulous!!!!

My results:

Oscar Wilde: The Portrait of Dorian Gray. You are a horror novel from the world of dandies, rich pretty boys, art and aesthetics, and intellectual debates between ethical people and decadent pleasure-seekers. You value beauty and pleasure but realize their dangers, as well.

Virginia Woolf: Orlando. You are a challenge, for outer events, the outside world, the time etc. play no importance to you. Your focus is in writing, in gender issues, and inside your own head. Self-analysis and exploration of yourself as well as the outer world hold great importance to you.

This is increasingly true in my life. Reaching into everyday time becomes more and more a surreal experience and distraction from what is eminently more real. Hmmmmmmm...

We both thought it very descriptive of her. We also found it rather interesting that many of the choices that were true but not as true as the big picks for each of us were the big picks for the other.
