The City Council in Bloomington, Indiana passed the gender identity amendment tonight. This makes the second city in Indiana to recognize that basic civil rights for people regardless of gender identity. Yay right!? Yes, it's exciting but in the wake of this news of a young black couple who were attacked last night in the most "liberal" town in Indiana, it means we have a long way to go before there is true justice or peace in our times.

Congratulations to INTRAA and IE Region 9 for the hard work they did to get "gender identity" added as a protected class. First Indy, now Bloomington, tomorrow where shall we go?
