While I don't usually promote singers or concerts on bilerico.com since we tend to focus more on LGBT politics, I will make an exception occasionally. Especially since not only is Matt Gold one of the most talented singer/song-writers on the planet, but he's also my ex. *grins*

Matt has a concert coming up in Bloomington on Friday, July 21 at 8pm. He'll be performing with an opening act at the John Waldron Performing Arts Center and you won't want to miss it. Matt hasn't performed in public in a while so you won't want to miss this opportunity to see him. Ticket prices are $5 at the door.

Imagine if Rufus Wainwright joined Depeche Mode and then had a baby with Tori Amos... Got the mental picture? That baby would be Matt. You can listen to a sample of three of his songs at his website - it'll give you an idea of my description. ("Blistering Pink" is my favorite.)
