Universal Press Syndicate recently notified newspapers and bloggers across the country that Aaron McGruder has not made plans to resume The Boondocks comic strip, which he had left in March for a six-month hiatus. While McGruder presumably will continue his work on The Boondocks cartoon series, the comic strip will not return.
That really sucks. I love The Boondocks. It's the best comic to come out since Calvin and Hobbes went out while the strip was riding high too. I guess there's something to be said for leaving everyone wanting more, but still, that doesn't help my cravings...

I'm still re-reading old Pogos -- and they're as relevant as ever. I imagine that old Boondocks will also bear the test of time.
