Please join the Indianapolis Rainbow Chamber of Commerce at our monthly Business After Hours, tomorrow, November 1st, 5:30 to 7:00 pm. This month, Sheriff Frank Anderson and candidate for Sheriff Steve Davis will be our guests. The After Hours will be at Greg's, located at 231 East 16th Street.

This After Hours represents a great opportunity to visit Greg's, if you haven't yet, and to meet Frank Anderson, Current Marion County Sheriff and Steve Davis, candidate for Sheriff.

This year we have been witness to candidates for city-wide races making a point of meeting glbt citizens, in my opinion representing a truth: As the glbt community of Indianapolis has become well-organized, well-networked, and well-informed, no candidate any longer can acheive city-wide office without a fair share of the votes of our community.

These After Hours, and events like them, should be a must-attend for members of the glbt community. Today's candidate is tomorrow's office holder, and it is essential that office holders become acquainted with us as the decent, tax-paying, law-abiding citizens they see everywhere. They must hear of our concerns first hand. Second, we must be well aware of what positions candidates take on issues important to us. There may be no better opportunity for you to talk with the candidates, ask them questions personally and one-on-one, and make a decision for yourself.

We encourage you to come to Greg's Wednesday afternoon, meet the members of the Rainbow Chamber and meet Sheriff Anderson and candidate for Sheriff, Deputy Steve Davis. We hope you stopped by last month to meet Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi and before that, Former Deputy Mayor Melina Kennedy, both on the ballot for Marion County Prosecutor. And we encourage you to vote in November.

Please join us.

(And I encourage you to support the businesses that support you by visiting the Rainbow Chamber website and choosing from a wide range of providers. Make indyrainbowchamber.org your first stop in deciding who to give your business to! The Indianapolis Rainbow Chamber of Commerce is a non-partisan organization.)
