I love me some Martha Stewart. I'm always jealous since I can't cook, garden or decorate (the gay gene skipped me). I could care less that she went to prison for that stupid stock scandal. I think there are several people out there (including the top levels of our government) that should be in jail instead of ole Martha. What do you think? Should she have gone to jail? Will her star ever reach it's previous heights or will she go even further now that she's spent some time in the pokey?

Martha will always rule. I wanted to have T-shirt made that said "I want to be Martha's prison bitch". Love her!

Priceless, Laurie!

On my best conspiracy theory days, I think they were looking for balance, so they bagged themselves a Democrat -- Martha as a Soros substitute.

A Low Country/Savannah lady at heart, I've been a Martha fan since her very first book and have every issue of MS Living, Weddings, and Everyday Food -- and even a Baby or two, plus books and videos galore. (Hors d'Oeuvres is a must have for organizers who are responsible for creating small fundraisers sans a catering budget.) The demise of her catalog was occasion for serious gin imbibing whilst budget busting via the online final sale. I write periodically begging for the catalog's return.

I love that she's self-taught. It gives me hope that someday I'll be able to get my Russ & Daughters caviar not to slide off the tops of the sour cream stuffed, melon-baller scooped new heirloom potatoes and might even get the tablecloths starched and ironed and rolled up with archival tissue into a nice big mailing tube.
