I'm going to plug the American Values Alliance now. *grins* Art Farnsley, the Executive Director, just returned from a trip to Washington DC. He met with quite a prominent group of people and they talked about some things that would be of interest to bilerico.com readers...

But thinking about the various topics and how they interrelate, has posed even more questions for Art about the AVA's focus. He's posted about his thoughts, ideas and questions over on the AVA site. I'd encourage you to drop by, read his post, and leave your own thoughts.

We always hear a lot of bitching about "Why can't they do things this way?" or "Why won't they listen to me!?" Well, here's your chance. Go visit the site and start helping the AVA focus their strategy for the organization. Tell 'em Bil sent ya.

Many people in AVA are upset about the Star's interview with Eric Miller on Saturday. He made it very clear that he is a bigot. He also made it clear, to me at least, that he hopes he can keep the public's attention on his suffocating definition of "moral values"--things like gay marriage and abortion--and away from other moral values such as justice for the poor or inclusion for people of different races or sexual orientation.

Eric Miller has a very limited, very prejudiced moral vision. Perhaps refuting people like him is what AVA should be doing. I wish I knew.
