My good friend Jane Cutler, who is doing so much to advance GLBT rights in our community, sent this to me and asked me to pass it on. St. Luke's ReachOut (their GBLT group) is holding a Christmas Service "Holiday Homecoming" on Tuesday, December 12th, at 7:00 P.M. in the Main Sanctuary.
This service provides an opportunity for those in the GBLT community to come together for worship and fellowship in a warm and welcoming environment. Quaker pastor & humorist Phil Gulley will deliver the message. Phil delivered a very emotional and inspiring message of hope and inclusiveness at this service two years ago. He has authored "If Grace Is True: Why God Will Save Every Person"; "The Healing Touch: Experiencing God's Love in the Midst of Our Pain"; and the Harmony novel series.
You don't need to be a member of St. Luke's or even Christian (though it is a Christmas service) to be welcome at this service.
Even though I am not Christian, I have been to quite a few events at St. Luke's (we hold our PFLAG meetings there) and they are very open and inclusive. I will be there that evening and hope to see many of you there as well!
