Sorry for the late posts all this past week. Things at the Davis/Browning ranch have been rather hectic lately.

I've been preparing for our housewarming party - including decorating for Christmas. And let me tell you - there's been a lot of clean up, repair, redecorating and shopping involved. :) If you didn't get a paper invite (I'm hearing from some folks that they never got their official invite in the mail. If you didn't - and you'd like to come - just shoot me an e-mail.) The party is tomorrow evening from 5:30pm-7:00pm. So far it looks like we'll have about 30 folks coming.

We've also taken a different twist for the party. Instead of bringing a housewarming gift, please bring a donation to Indiana Equality. This way we don't end up with a bunch of crockpots and blenders, and instead of just benefitting our family you're benefitting the Hoosier LGBT community. State Senator (and newly elected Marion County Auditor) Billie Breaux and Indianapolis City-County Councilor Jackie Nytes will be speaking briefly about the state of LGBT politics in Indiana. Marcia Neff, Indy PFLAG representative to IE, will be speaking about where IE is going in the future.

It would be nice to meet some new bilerico readers and see current or past contributors. We sent out 125 invitations to the party so we have plenty of room. Feel free to shoot me an e-mail and I'll give you the address.

Posts will resume with regular frequency after this weekend when things settle down. Hopefully until then other contributors will pick up the slack. :)

In other news, today is World AIDS Day. The theme for World AIDS Day 2006 is accountability. For more information check out the post on Shakespeare's Sister.

Bil, Jerame & Paige, you have a lovely home. The wood floors and fire place were especially were my favorite! You guys are a wonderful family and we were happy to be included in the event. Best wishes!
