"Hoosiers have learned that whenever the Governor issues a proposal, the Devil is always in the details. We don't know for how long he wants to lease the Lottery or whether he'd allow a private company to expand gambling in our state to make a higher profit. All we know is that he's decided he wants to sell off a profit-generating agency to a private company.

"At this point, it's clear that the Governor's idea of creative financing is to buy a second pricing gun, so he can slap double the number of price tags on our state assets, agencies and services.

"Obviously, the Governor didn't get the message from voters in November that his agenda is wrong for Indiana. In fact, we should probably just start referring to him as Outsourcer Daniels, since he doesn't seem to want or be able to govern at all." -- Indiana Democratic Party Chair Dan Parker on Republican Governor Mitch Daniel's proposed lottery privatization plan. The gov has also already sold one toll road, wants to build some more and lease those out too, oh - and while we're at it privatize a railroad, the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA), The Bureau of Moter Vehicles (BMV), and a partridge in a pear tree. Fa la la.
