Sign of the apocalypse?

You can run but you can't hide. Armageddon is upon us.

So what do you think? How will BushCo react? We know the Cheneys love their lesbian daughter - just not in a way that says their not going to pander to the religious right. Shrub technically can't welcome the new baby either since he doesn't support same-sex marriage and also doesn't support having a baby out of wedlock. Hell, his brother doesn't even think Mary should be able to adopt a child and the laws of the state he governs reflect that opinion!

I'm sure that the fundamentalists and loonies are going nuts over this. 666. The sign of the devil. Mark of the beast. You know the sort. Oh wait, here we go:

I see no dignity in violating the principals set out in the bible on how to procreate a child. I feel sorry for the Cheney family but Mary is their burden and is not for us to carry. I believe that God may have a different take on artificially manufacturing a child.

I suspect it won't happen, but I continue to have this hope that as the din from the Righteous Right becomes louder, both Dick and Lynnn Cheney will go on Larry King and in just these words, tell their Republican base critics to fuck off.

I continue to hope, that opponents of gay "marriage" (or whatever we choose to call it), adoption, etc., and the hateful folks who just hate us for no reason, will learn from all this.

The best weapon we have is normalcy. Living our lives, working, paying taxes, taking vacations, buying cars, raising kids, and all the other normal things other folks do.

Once the Cheneys of the world see we're really no different, I hope their opposition and hatefulness subside.
