HB1459, the "Bias (Hate) Crimes" bill passed out of the Courts and Criminal code committee in the Indiana House of Representatives 9-1 on a bipartisan vote. Two representatives, John Ulmer (R - Elkhart) and Vern Tincher (D - Riley) did not vote.

The only no vote was Eric Koch (R - Bedford) h65@in.gov.

The bill will now go before the full house where it's expected to pass. It's fate in the Senate is a little less certain.
