You'll remember from my Statehouse Roundup post that one of the issues the LGBT community faced this legislative session was Republican Senator Jeff Drozda's amendment to an adoption bill that would have forbid courts from allowing otherwise qualified individuals to adopt "if the petitioner is a homosexual."
Senator Drozda did not call his amendment down yesterday when the bill was considered. The issue is as dead as I predicted it would be. Isn't it nice to have a "win" for once, even when it is this small?







Large victories are built on smaller wins.
Let's hope this hateful bigot gets religion, in the creative sense, quickly, and stops his other hate-mongering.
