Another big announcement on the SJR-7 front! Today Emmis Communications announced their opposition to SJR-7, the proposed constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage and civil unions. Emmis joins Cummins Engine, Wellpoint, Dow AgroSciences, and Eli Lilly in pointing out the dangers the amendment would pose to their recruitment efforts.
We believe the passage of this constitutional amendment will hurt our ability to recruit and retain a diverse workforce, and creates the damaging impression that we are not a welcoming and inclusive community.I add Emmis' voice to the growing chorus of Indiana-based employers urging you to reject this proposal.
