If I could fully realize what I want to realize, it would be making songs like that, that have something in them that... just getting to talk a little bit about things; where as messages in pop songs are often NOT uplifting. Some of the hip hop and R&B songs that are out there leave me with a really bad feeling. There is one about a guy just laying there and the girl is there to "shake it like I thought she could" and I'm just like that perspective of what girls are is so boring and one dimensional. I try to write songs about how I actually perceive those encounters. How I see it....
