It's hard enough to be a kid. Sometimes we get all caught up in politics and pointing out the homophobia and bigotry of our fellow citizens and we forget what it's like to grow up wondering what the hell life is all about. And a lot of the time we in the LGBT community only focus on the lesbian, gay and bisexual youth since we can relate to them - we grew up wanting to find information about gay life and needing answers about our sexuality.
But we don't really think too much about trans youth, do we? I think we should start, don't you? I found this video on YouTube yesterday and thought I'd post it as a reminder not to forget that our community is multi-faceted and that when we fight, we fight for all of us - including this pretty young lady.
I'd like to hear from some of our trans readers on this one: How old were you when you started transitioning? What was that like for you?
