The Indianapolis Star is now reporting that SJR-7 will be heard for the second time in committee on next Tuesday. The place and time are still undetermined according to Chair Scott Pelath (D - Michigan City).
An interesting part of the article:
Opponents have said that sentence could jeopardize domestic-partner benefits offered by companies and protection for unmarried couples under the state's domestic violence laws. Supporters say neither is possible.House Minority Leader Brian C. Bosma, R-Indianapolis, said today he plans to draft a resolution stating that the House has no intent to impact domestic-partner benefits or the state's domestic violence laws.
What's Brian got up his sleeve? Anyone have any insight or ideas?

By writing a resolution stating that they need to clarify the intent aren't they in fact stating that the current language is inadequate?
