This weekend's Indy Star story on Tony Dungy and the Indiana Family Institute hit the AP wire services and quickly flew around the country. It's been interesting watching as the story was reprinted in various newspapers or was responded to on other blogs lately. Unfortunately, since the story wasn't exactly the most biased, we've taken a drubbing - especially with the rightwing nutjobs.
Some of the more interesting links resulting from the article:
- The Christian Post - Dungy's Speaking Engagement with Pro-Family Group Questioned
- Christian Conservatives blog - gay-rights groups are upset with tony dungy
- GlobeSports.com (Canadian site) - Questions surround Dungy's appearance with group fighting same-sex marriage
And the best story yet came via reader Jay. Jay was quoted in the first OutSports.com article on this. Then OutSports.com was quoted in the Indy Star story. Now OutSports.com has another story up - and it's a damn good one. Thanks for pointing it out, Jay!
If you see the story on other sites, leave a comment and let me know where you saw it. I think it's really cool to watch the butterfly wing effect - from Don's original post to all of the conversation that's resulted. Way to go, Don!

yeh we recently talked about Dungy's run ins with gay activists groups over at Highbrid Nation. I feel kinda bad for him because it puts in in a awkward position.
