You may have noticed that over the weekend bilerico.com got a minor face-lift. We changed a few things and fixed some stuff that wasn't quite right. We added some new features like a cool way to enlarge pictures and the new "Get More Bilerico" section that shows you the last few posts related to the one you're reading.
But today's addition to bilerico.com isn't about website code or templates. We have another new contributor that I'm very excited about. Everyone please welcome Marti Abernathey to the blog!
Marti is Transadvocate's main page blogger, but is also a podcaster, activist, and radiologic technologist in Indianapolis. She's been a part of various internet radio ventures such as TSR Live!, The T-Party, and The Radical Trannies, just to name a few.
As an advocate she's previously been involved with the Indiana Transgender Rights Advocacy Alliance, Rock Indiana Campaign for Equality, and the National Transgender Advocacy Coalition. She's taken vital roles as a grass roots community organizer in The Indianapolis Tax Day Protest (2003), The Indy Pride HRC Protest (2004), Transgender Day of Remembrance (2004), Indiana's Witch Hunt (2005), and the Rally At The Statehouse (the largest ever GLBT protest in Indiana - 3/2005).
Everyone please give Marti a big bilerico.com welcome! I look forward to reading her posts and I'm sure you will to.
