INTake magazine's bloggers are taking on the WouldJesusDiscriminate.com billboards this week. While a couple of the entries are notable (See "Jesus Loves Lesbians Too!" and "God Hates Fags!"), there's a stand-out post by David Hunter - "What would Jesus do to a eunuch?" He completely channels Steven Colbert in the post. Check it out.

One of those groups is Faith In America, and their mission is "the emancipation of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people from bigotry disguised as religious truth." Well I've got a proclamation for you, heathens: get your own bully pulpit! Jesus is ours!

The Rev. Andy Hunt of the Body of Christ Community Church feels the same way. And, thankfully, he's contrasted their bilious billboard hyperbole with a rational, cool head:

[The Reverend] said he nearly drove into a power pole the first time he passed a yard sign with the message: "Jesus affirmed a gay couple." Then he cried.

Phew! I know I almost ran my Toyota Highlander into a Planned Parenthood clinic when I saw the words "Jesus" and "gay" on a bumper sticker! And I wept, Indy. I curled into a fetal position with a case of the vapors worse than in a Jane Austen novel.
