Governor Ted Kulongoski of Oregon just signed into law two bills concerning LGBT people. One is a civil rights bill that adds sexual orientation and gender identity to the list of protected classes when it comes to public accomodation, housing, and employment discrimination; the other is a domestic partnership registry for same-sex couples that gives some of the benefits of marriage.
WTG, Oregon!
