"We have to own up to the fact that it was a homophobic moment. That's what everybody's afraid to say. There are sensitivity issues we need to talk about as a result of this." -- Newark, New Jersey school superintendent Marion Bolden in a recently released statement. Ms. Bolden called student Andre Johnson to personally apologize for ordering staff to use a black marker to censor a picture in the yearbook of Andre kissing his boyfriend.
