The media is paying a lot of attention lately to transgender people. I have posted here a few times about Transyouth Family Advocates. Obviously I am a big fan of the work these four mothers on a mission have been doing and have recently been elected to their board of directors. I will also be serving as their director of curriculum development. I am extremely excited to be working with them and encourage folks to pay attention to them and their message. TYFA was recently featured on CNN and will be featured again soon.

Here is a clip from last Sunday,

and make sure to tune in to CNN on Wednesday, June 27th at 8:00 PM EST for the latest story of a TYFA family.

Paula Zahn will be interviewing TYFA Advocate and Board Member, Shannon, her husband John, Ashley (7 year old affirmed female daughter), and several siblings. Shannon and Ashley traveled to New York last week for the studio shots and the film crew visited their home to meet with the rest of the family. This is the 'family next door' living in 'anywhere middle America'.
