So, after all of the hard work behind the scenes creating a brand new website and so forth, I've been trying to come up with a new way to participate in the blogosphere. My two passions are politics and technology. This blog has plenty of political writers and I'm not going to stop talking about politics, but I really want a way to work my extensive technology background into my writing.

I've been rolling this idea around in my head for some time and I want to know what you, the readers, think about it.

I'm thinking of starting a new regular feature called Gay Geeks. Put simply, Gay Geeks would cover the area where queer culture and technology meet. I think that leaves a pretty wide field to discuss, whether it's advice about how to cruise online chat rooms safely or a serious discussion of gay culture and technology as status symbols, I plan to cover it.

So, dear readers, please help me out. I need your advice. First and foremost, would you even read it? What would you like to see covered? How often would you like to see such a column on the site?

Tell me what you think in the comments. I'll put up my first article in the next few days and we'll do a test run. If there is enough interest, I'll keep them going. If not, The Bilerico Project will have its first mini-series.
