Yesterday's contest is now closed. The winner of the autographed John Waters poster and t-shirt is... *drumroll please* comment #17 - Kevin Lahti. Kevin is from North Carolina and says, "Wow, I didn't think I'd actually win, I never win anything. So this is a nice surprise.." Congratulations Kevin!

man-in-the-middle.jpgToday's contest features another John. This time we're giving away an autographed copy of John Amaechi's new book, "Man in the Middle." The former NBA player came out of the closet recently and his book has been taking the sports world by storm.

To win, all you have to do is leave a comment. Contributors aren't eligible to win. The contest will be open from 1:30pm today until 1:30pm on Wednesday. We'll announce the winner then - along with that day's contest!

Good luck!

[ED NOTE:] This contest is now closed. Comment #4 - Robert L. was the winner! Congratulations Robert! Be sure to check out today's contest for a chance to win a complete library of our contributor's books!

I've been meaning to read this, so winning it would be even better!

can't wait until tomorrow's giveaway: the DVD of John Goodman as a gay man in "Normal, Ohio"

I'd love to have his book! I even recently added him to my myspace friends. :)

I would love to read this. I think the glimpse inside professional sports from a gay perspective would be really fascinating!

Being a very well spoken Brit, I am sure Mr. Amaechi is equally, if not better, written. I look forward to reading this book, even if I have to buy it myself.

I'd love to check his book out!

I'd like to read it as well. Especially if he gives an excuse of why he waited until he was a "former" player to come out.

I'd like to throw my hat in the ring for the book -- my sister read it and enjoyed the book....
