Or a Thursday morning question, depending on when you visit the site.

We tried this one a while ago and I got some good ideas, so we'll try again with a somewhat new crowd:

What's your favorite mixed drink? Recipes are always helpful.

A Spongecake is a great cocktail.

A shot (or two) of vodka, Sprite and Pineapple Juice. Tastes like a Pineapple upside down cake but it is called a spongecake. Not a shot, a full cocktail. Cheers

In the summer heat... especially around the pool, Mojito.. without a doubt.
In the winter Baccardi and Diet.

And all year round.. the Cosmo! :-)

(If the bartender is being difficult, just get the abbreviated version: Rum, Midori, Blue Coracao, Sour Mix and Pineapple juice)

Red Zombie (twist on Red Death):
- Vodka

- Amaretto
- Red Bull

Alex, do you even have to ask? MOJITO!

Alex -

I think my favorite has to be the Brazilian national cocktail -- the Caipirinha. It is made in Brazil with cachaca, a sugar cane liquor....but can also be made with vodka (then it would be called a Caipiroska).....guess the drink has become very trendy in NY and Miami...I learned to make them and drink them back in SF with my Brazilian partner (at the time).....

Here's a link to info on the drink: http://www.maria-brazil.org/caipirinha.htm

Cheers!

I've seen too much Sex and the City, I'm voting for the Cosmo. Although I love a good Kamikaze.

White Russian:
1 1/2 Oz. Vodka
3/4 Oz. Kahlua
3/4 light cream or milk

shake Vodka & Kahlua; flot the cream (or milk) on top.
