Love the relaunch!

The new site looks great! For a minute I thought I had put in the wrong URL and was going to a totally different site. Oh yeah, I was! The new white background is much easier to read (for me) than the old brown background. And I like that there are only two columns instead of three. Things just look more organized.

Bil, you didn't mention whether contributors can enter--if so, I want Cho's autograph!! Either way, my comment stands: my favorite part of the relaunch is that the videos are more easily accessible now that they have their own boxes. Also that the "related" bits get their own space when you look at an individual post.

I really like the compartmentalized style. It makes the page look neater and more organized. I also appreciate seeing all your smiling faces - a small thing, sure, but it's nice to put a face with a name.

Sorry, Jen. Contributors can't win. You're right though - I should have put that in the post itself. If you'd like, I can sign a napkin for you. Or is that not good enough? *laughs*

I love that you can see pictures of each of you! Although, I must say it is weird because I had an image in my head for each one of you and they aren't much like what you really look like!! It's like reading a book and imagining a character then seeing the book made into a movie and someone else plays the part!

I love the pics of the contributors...and it's pretty cool to see how far you've come. I'm proud of ya!

I like the pictures attached to each contributor's article as well. It makes it seem both more personal and professional at the same time, like pictures of columnists that are run in print news papers. Other than that, the whole layout is very clean-looking and easy to read.

Hmm. lets see.. where to begin. I too thought I was at the wrong place or that somehow I was being redirected to some Neocon fake site used to mislead us. (It could happen..!)
Then when I realized it was real it was ok.. I like the color scheme. And the pictures of everyone is cool. Its funny. People never end up looking like you think they would look.. (I'll leave it at that.. )
But I think what I like the most is that it seems so much more interactive. Even an advice column. That cool, but to be honest, I'd love to see a real cut throat advice column. you know like the Dear Dotti in the Weekly World News.. She was vicious. Would really tear people a new one. Love it!!!! Lets work on that next.

I like that the colors aren't so dark, like the old site and I love "What The Buck?".

I love te sectionalized feel to the revamped Bilerico! It is pleasing to the eye and separates out stories and other sections. And I love the lighter, brighter color scheme... the somewhat olive-drab of the original gave me flashbacks to protests of the '60s.

And I like the idea of putting a few paragraphs as a hook concerning the story you are writing, with the rest just a link away. That cuts down on the daily clutter with so many new contributors (which I love too!) and gives a person an easy way to scan the stories for something that might be of most importance to them. The new effects on links are cool too and I gotta learn more about the commenting section.

But above all, the three vertical sections just fit into my conception of what a browser width should be!!! The designer and I must be sharing the same mind! How is he (please be a he) about dancing?
