Watch what happens when the first Hindu cleric opens the United States Senate in prayer. Oh, those "Christian activists." I'd call them bigots instead. (Thanks to Stormy for suggesting this one!)

Every time the religious right asks for more tolerance of religion in the public sphere, we should just post this video. Because it wasn't just a couple of people there disturbing the peace - this was a series of op-eds, news stories, a whole mini-controversy.

And over what? That the prayer in the Congress actually be delivered by someone other than a Baptist every now and then? Because now they complain about the Hindus, and if they win that they'd complain about the Jews, and if they win that they'd complain about the Eastern Orthodox Christians or Catholics, and if they win that they'd complain about the Anglicans, and if they win that they'd complain about the Lutherans, Presbyterians, or Methodists, and if they win that they'd complain about the American Baptists (more liberal than the Southern Baptists), and if they win that they'd find a new line to divide people along.
