Our society makes such a big deal out of body image. Fat. Thin. Old. Young. Ugly. Beautiful. Male. Female. We're built on a dichotomy where one is seen as more valuable or desirable than the other.
Our society makes such a big deal out of body image. Fat. Thin. Old. Young. Ugly. Beautiful. Male. Female. We're built on a dichotomy where one is seen as more valuable or desirable than the other.
And yet we tend to slide from end of the spectrum to the other, don't we? Then thin gain weight, the fat lose it. The young grow old and beauty fades. Our trans friends can testify to the fluidity of gender.
So why do we keep reinforcing the either/or conundrum?
