Karl Rove is resigning!

Thank you Jesus!.. But its still a day late and a dollar short. he can still do plenty of damage from where ever he goes.
I think if we had a going away party, it would have to have an S/M theme. Im sure there would have to be good solid beating in public for even a small amount of satisfaction.

Suddenly, in the midst of possible prosecution, Rove wants to spend more time with his family . . .

. . . sort of like Harriet Miers . . .

. . . sort of like Claude Allen . . .

. . . sort of like Dan Bartlett . . .

One has to wonder if it's gotten so bad that LAURA Bush will resign soon to "spend more time with her family."

Regardless, it's 'good riddance' to Rove. Are we sure his number didn't show up on the DC Madam phone list?

I'm not as estatic about the Rove news. For one the damage has already been done.

So who's presidential campaign is Rove signing on to. That's gotta be about the only thing that would lure him away. I'm expecting an announcement any day now.

I don't know why everyone is so excited. We all know what this really means. It means he just got a fucking pay raise! Now, he's going to be making consultant rates instead of government employee rates, so he's now making 3 times as much money for half as much work.

Until he goes to jail for his crimes, we shouldn't be celebrating.

My design for Rove's going away party would be a costume party with a classic movie theme:

The honoree would be dressed in one of those oh-so-stylish black and white striped ensembles with hand and leg chain accessories. Of course, after the party the guest of honor would be escorted to his new retirement community...one of several lovely federal institution set deep in the rural midwest...by well-armed "personal attendants", where he'd spend the remainder of his days "socializing" with his fellow "retired" Republican officials.

In the UK, the BBC has been starting its reports: "The man said to be President Bush's brain is resigning ...." BBC have been running the story since 9am (4am US EDT)
