Michael Moore's old television show took on gay rights the year after Matthew Sheppard was murdered. He interviews Fred "Dog Vomit" Phelps and crosses the country in the a bright pink bus called "The Sodomobile." Truly, you have got to see this!

I have the two seasons of The Awful Truth on DVD, and this is the bit that I always show people when they have never watched an episode before.
Great stuff.

Brother Fred never got the message of unconditional love and acceptance Jesus preached. He never read the New Testament with his heart. He embraces his hatred and fear of others different from him.
When it all comes out in the wash too many GLBT folk don’t know enough real Christians. I thank God I have known many.
