I watched a couple movies "Superstorm" and "Bridge to Terabithia" and played with our dogs - gave 'em baths, etc

I wrote a long blog post (http://transadvocate.com/beckygrrl) and wrote to Bil ask to be a part of this blog (hint, hint, nudge, nudge).
Shameless, I know, but hey, you asked.

How was "Terabithia"? I LOVE the book but the movie looks far removed from the book's theme and purpose...the movie seems more "fantasy" a la Harry Potter & LOTR...whereas in the book that's really only a backdrop to the "real" story. So (my point here) I haven't seen the movie because I was sure I'd be disappointed...
What did you think?

I'd never read the book. It was a good story - and the movie was okay (even though the kid died! Someone coulda warned me!). It wasn't like Harry Potter in the least - everything was just "there's a make believe world only we can see" and pretty much - only they could see it.

I've been packing up.. Today is my last day at home, its back to university for me.. a whole 3 weeks before anyone else simply because my new job is making me return early. So now my life is packed in boxes, with the exception of My Tea Bags and laptop. Its only now that I realize I can fit my life into 4 cardboard boxes...
