Iranian president Maumoud Ahmadinejad has said that there's no homosexuality in Iran. P1Q has the video. [Update: And it just got YouTubed. After the jump.]
If you can't see the video, Ahmadinejad said in response to a question about the homosexuality:
In Iran we don't have homosexuals like in European countries. We don't have that in our country. In Iran we do not have this phenomenon. I don't know who has told that you we had it.
What's interesting from the video is that he just gets laughed at from the mostly American audience. Iranian Queer Organization executive director Arsham Parsi responds:
Mr. Ahmadi Nejad,
Please tell me now who I am?
Indeed. It's a whole lot easier to erase a section of the population than to address their needs.
