Kansas Senator and presidential hopeful Sam Brownback is expected to announce his dropping out of the presidential race tomorrow, mainly because he has no chance at winning:
Trouble raising money was a main reason for his decision, said one person close to Brownback, who requested anonymity because the candidate had not yet announced his plans.[...]
Brownback had raised a little more than $800,000 from July through September and around $4 million overall. He is eligible for $2 million in federal matching funds.
It's too bad, really. He was one of the few openly crazy Republicans running (although there's always Alan Keyes). Sure, I didn't agree with him on his positions related to queer issues, women's issues, the war, taxation, civil liberties, or the environment, but I always thought he kept it real.
Oh, and I wish I lived in a world where $6 million was enough to run for president.

Wait - you mean he was actually in the race?
And $6 mil isn't enough? My God, you could buy your own country for that amount. Apparently, the US has a higher price tag than say New Guinea...
