Abby rocks!
Its really great to see PFLAG honoring straight allies who step up loudly and proudly about their support for LGBT equality.

Actually, the originally Dear Abby was her mother. She now has alzheimers, so her daughter recently took over.
They both have been suprisingly understanding and supportive of LGBT issues. In fact, the original Dear Abby is credited with making PFLAG a nationally known organization by mentioning it in her column.

Both of the Dear Abby writers have been unabashed supporters. PFLAG made a wise choice in choosing her for the 1st Straight for Equality award.
