Crawford's got the breakdown:
Four Republicans, Congressman Mike Castle (R-DE), Congresswoman Judy Biggert (R-IL), Congressman Todd Platts (R-PA), and Congressman John Kuhl (R-NY), voted in favor of the bill.
Four Democrats, Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-NY), Rep. Rush Holt (D-NJ), Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) and Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-CA) voted against the bill citing the removal of gender identity.
Well, there ya go.

This is where frank want's us to be. The Bill is going to fail any ways so frank won a hollow victory. He lost his GLBT support. Even those who understandably want even a diminished ENDA will not forget franks tactic's. We can count this as a long term victory becuse now we are united and know who to distrust. I hope frank will remember this day as a begining of his political demise.

Yet another way Rush Holt rocks my world. He already had the best campaign slogan ever: my Congressman IS a rocket scientist.

Rush Holt is also a great guy personally. He's my Congressman, and I've met him a couple of times. One thing that really impressed me about him is how when I brought up the topic of trans inclusion and rights to him it was clear that he felt supporting equal rights for everyone is an absolute no-brainer.
I hope he runs for the Senate or even Prez one day. We need more like him in public office.
