Over here at the Bilerico Project, we try to hand pick interesting contributors who can significantly add to our discussions. This week, I've got a real doozy to announce too - I have full confidence that you'll love our newest contributor...

I'm pleased to announce that Cathy Renna is the latest addition to the Project. Cathy is nationally recognized as a media relations expert and as a leader within the LGBT community. As a major force behind the success and growth of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), where she worked for 14 years, Cathy served as a primary spokesperson for GLAAD, as well as its first National News Media Director. Currently, Cathy is the Managing Partner for Renna Communications, one of the foremost PR firms for LGBT organizations.

Please welcome Cathy to the Bilerico family. I'm sure you'll love her as much as I do...

Welcome Cathy and dive right in. There's no such thing as a newbie here. We're an ecclectic bunch so don't feel compelled to expound only on media stuff. Your vision on whatever strikes you as blogworthy is proper post fodder.
