They finally put this vid on YouTube! Here's awesome lesbian Seattle-based hip hop group Team Gina's "Butch/Femme" video:

And Gina Genius, in her own words for VenusZine, on mixing politics and music:

We try to create the world as we’d like to see it, rather than reacting in a negative way to all the things that are wrong with the world right now. We’re trying to create the world that we want. When we throw a lesbian party, we imagine how things could be. It’s diverse, and there are all different kinds of performances, and we just all have a really good time. We’re united around these common ideals.

How funny. I just knew I'd seen this video before... I have.

I love the song though, so it's totally worthy of another go-round!

Actually, when I was googling to find that interview clip, your post was like the fifth result. I saw it, but I was like, they hasn't been a QMF yet!

And it's totally worth another go-round. I haven't put any queer hip hop up here in a long while.

Well I never saw this video before and I love it. Watched it 3 times so far. Hey Alex, I also dig the Queer Music Fridays. Please keep them coming.
