So as I was watching the news last night, they had a story about a book called "Candy Freak: A Journey Through the Chocolate Underbelly of America." Apparently, the type of candy you hand out on Halloween says a lot about your personality. Almond Joy means you're "happy go lucky," and Good-n-Plenty means you're, "optimistic, a supporter of gay rights, and bitter."

Jigga what? Couldn't they go with the more obviously gay candy, like Skittles? I mean, it's a rainbow of fruit flavor. Then there's the unambiguosly gay duo of Mike & Ike. And don't get me started on chocolate covered nuts. (Say it with me Alex . . . haha, you said nuts.)

But what I'm even more puzzled about is the the bitter part. Are they saying that gay rights supporters are/should be bitter? What do you think? Should we be pissed off, yet optimistic? Or am I reading too much into a fluff piece on Halloween?
