A Kossack diary reports that Mike Huckabee endorsed the idea that women should "submit" to husbands:
In August of 1998, Huckabee was one of 131 signatories to a full page USA Today Ad which declared: "I affirm the statement on the family issued by the 1998 Southern Baptist Convention." What was in the family statement from the SBC? "A wife is to submit herself graciously to the servant leadership of her husband even as the church willingly submits to the headship of Christ."
The ad wasn't just a blanket, "we support the SBC statement," but rather highlighted details. The ad Huckabee signed specifically said of the SBC family statement: "You are right because you called wives to graciously submit to their husband's sacrificial leadership."
That statement is a direct attack on women's autonomy, and its impact is only increased for lesbians who aren't going to be dealing with a husband any time soon, much less "submitting."
But what else are women going to do besides "submit" to their husbands, marry each other and destroy civilization?

Dear SBC Signatories,
You can come down here to Texas and TRY to make me submit. As I have no husband in my life, someone has to do it, right? I will be waiting.
Love,
Paula
P.S. You had better bring at least a platoon with you.

I remember when the SBC put out that statement that women should "submit." My God, I hope he's the candidate. Imagine pitting him against Hillary. Woman for President or man who thinks women are inferior to men. Who do you think would get the female vote? Hell, that's the majority right there!

You'd be surprised as to how many women actually would side with him. Many women in our societies have already internalized that supposed inferiority.

Totally, Bil. He'd be great to run against!
Prolly why the GOP establishment hates him, though, b/c they know he doesn't have a snowball's chance outside the Republican primary.
Him vs. Hill. Well, she'd get most women (Lucrece is right, a lot of women internalize that bs, just like there are log cabin republicans), and she'd get big business, since CfG hates Huck b/c he raised taxes as guv and big business always liked a clinton.
And I'd just move to Canada, lol.
