From a "political rally" in Michigan:
That's right, folks, the Constitution doesn't matter to Mike Huckabee. Time to impose one religion on everyone else. Line the sluts, queers, and anyone else Huck decides he doesn't like up for stoning.
I don't know if Pat Robertson's rhetoric ever reached this pitch back when he was running for president. I still hold that Huckabee won't get the GOP nomination, but that fact that he's even a serious contender shows just how crazy American politics have gotten.
Text after the jump.
I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution," Huckabee told a Michigan audience on Monday. "But I believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living god. And that's what we need to do -- to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards so it lines up with some contemporary view.

The Rev Mike is on a mission from God so plan on seeing him till the convention and probaly pushing for a job in the next GOP administration. If his supporters dont demand he be the choice for number two and the GOP VP gags then I will be looking for somebody new to vote for.

Good grief! Here in the UK the Church and the State may be (technically) in collusion but at least no-one takes it seriously.

AHHH! I wish these uneducated quacks would be forced to sit through history lessons, hell, history lessons about their own religious origins and how flawed it is, even! Perhaps the author of Religious Literacy: What Every American Should Know but Doesn't could come give them a one-on-one. It's not a good time to be an atheist in the U.S. They're probably building concentration camps as we speak...oh wait, they already are.
